Last month, between 16-21 June, the third World Biodiversity Forum took place in Davos, Switzerland, bringing together hundreds of experts and researchers in the field of biodiversity from all over the world. The aim of the in-person event was to promote transdisciplinary exchange between science, practice and politics on the topic of biodiversity.

Organised by the URPP Global Change and Biodiversity of the University of Zurich and the international research network bioDISCOVERY, the forum responds to the call for urgent and transformative action to halt and reverse biodiversity loss through making connections across available knowledge sources, identifying opportunities, synergies but also trade-offs that can inform policies and actions.

During the event, Safeguard made an appearance at the promotional stand of project partner Pensoft Publishers – the communication and dissemination partner – with a diverse set of materials – a one-pager, policy brief and stickers. Pensoft’s stand featured also materials of the EU pollinator projects PollinERA, WildPosh, PoshBee, B-GOOD and STEP.
