Calling all early career conservation biologists: register now for SCCS Europe 2023 in Hungary

The 8th Student Conference on Conservation Science, SCCS Europe, will take place from 13 to 16 September 2023 in Balatonvilágos, Hungary, connecting Eastern and Western Europe in conservation biology.

About the event
SCCS Europe provides a unique opportunity for young conservationists, students and early career researchers to present their own results, exchange ideas, and meet brilliant experts, who can offer valuable career guidance. The event, organised by the Centre for Ecological Research, is a chance to meet renowned plenary speakers, attend career-enriching trainings, workshops and field trips, and have fun at the largest lake in Central Europe, Lake Balaton.

  • Dr Tamara Mitrofanenko, University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU), Austria
Conference fee
The all-inclusive conference fee will be only 300 Euro, which includes conference registration, accommodation and catering (three meals per day).

Important dates
30th April: Registration and abstract submission opens.
10th June: Abstract submission deadline
30th June: Abstract selection notifications sent out
15th July: Deadline for presenters to confirm involvement
15th July: Registration deadline
05th August: Registration fee payment deadline
